AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning (acquiring information and rules), reasoning (using rules to reach conclusions), and self-correction.
•Types of AI (Based on Capabilities):
1. Narrow AI (Weak AI): Specialized for a single task. Examples: Siri, Google Search, facial recognition ,Alexa.
2. General AI (Strong AI): Can perform any intellectual task that a human can.Still theoretical and under development.
3. Super AI:- Hypothetical future AI with intelligence surpassing humans. Not yet developed.
Types of AI (Based on Functionality):
1. Reactive Machines:- No memory, only respond to current input. Example: IBM’s Deep Blue chess computer.
2. Limited Memory:- Uses past data for decisions. Example: Self-driving cars.
3. Theory of Mind:- Can understand emotions and human beliefs (still in progress).
4. Self-aware AI:- Has its own consciousness and self-awareness (theoretical).
Types of AI Technologies:
1. Machine Learning (ML): Algorithms that learn from data (e.g., spam filtering).
2. Deep Learning:Subset of ML using neural networks with multiple layers.
3. Natural Language Processing (NLP): Enables machines to understand human language. Example: Chatbots, translators.
4. Computer Vision: Allows machines to interpret visual information.
5. Robotics: AI applied in robots to perform tasks like humans.
6. Expert Systems: AI programs that mimic human experts in specific domains.
